Citrus Bergamot Bergamonte®, Berberine and Curcumin C3 Complex |
CholestProtect contains citrus bergamot, berberine, and Curcumin. These 3 ingredients effectively and safely support normal lipid metabolism and cholesterol levels*. Supplementation of citrus bergamot (Citrus bergamia) inhibits HMG-CoA reductase, reducing LDL in addition to lowering triglycerides*. Bergamot decreases blood sugar, and small dense LDL, and improves HDL and fatty liver*. Bergamonte® is produced using patented extraction technology through collaborative works of various Universities and research institutions in Italy. These flavanoids are clinically proven to help maintain healthy cholesterol level†, healthy blood glucose level, increase HDL-cholesterol, and promoting healthy weight management.*
Berberine, the bright yellow alkaloid found in Oregon grape root and goldenseal, has extensive beneficial effects in reducing cardiovascular risk*. Berberine effectively improves glucose metabolism and insulin sensitivity, and has been shown to be as effective as metformin in lowering blood sugar*. It has pleotropic effects in blood vessel and heart health by reducing inflammation, increasing nitric oxide production, and enhancing endothelial function*. Berberine also improves mobilization and function of endothelial progenitor cells (the cells that repair damaged blood vessels)*. Berberine reduces triglycerides and LDL through a unique mechanism distinct from statins. One small study showed that berberine can improve symptoms and extend life span in congestive heart failure patients*.
